Vintage Simplicty Pants

IMG_1183[1]These pants are made using Simplicity 3688 and fabric purchased from Fabric Vision. I french seamed all the seams apart from where the zip is inserted and hand picked the zip in.

IMG_1200[1](I’ve made a lot of versions of the top from this pattern too. It’s a goodie.)

I didn’t make any alterations to the pattern apart from cutting a waistband a size bigger (as I always need to) which does result in a little gap at the top of the zip. Next time I might put a wee flap under that to conceal whatever might be showing through. I think next time I would also take about 2 cms off the front pattern piece as they fit well through the seat but seem to have a bit of extra fabric at the front which means they don’t sit as flat as I’d like them to.
