The Adventures of Upcycle-Woman.

Here’s another two for one post.

Firstly a $2 wool jersey I upcycled by cutting out the front and cutting off the sleeves. I did this to a jersey about 15 years ago and decided it was worth a revisit. Worn immediately so that is a sure sign that great ideas will always be in style 😉 IMG_8148

Every super hero needs a cape. This is made from a pattern I borrowed from my sister – Simplicity 7438 – using 100% second hand fabrics.

The houndstooth wool outer and silk lining were from a friend’s deceased aunt’s (can you follow that?) garage sale, and the blue velvet ribbon I bought a skein of at a flea market in Holland. I absolutely adore velvet ribbon.

Can’t stay long – off to save the world.
