Me Made May – 11th hour sign up

I really hummed and hahed about whether to participate in MMM16.

The pros were:

  • Most days I would wear something Me Made
  • I’ve never been actively blogging about sewing my own clothes before, and this year I am
  • I’ve wanted to participate for ages

The cons were:

  • May is a crazy busy month for me – because I am doing my normal life as well as pretending to be someone else for the month too – I’m in A Streetcar Named Desire this month. (Check out the lovely vintage gown in the promo shot!)

But I’ve decided to do it!

Here’s my Me Made May pledge:

I, Naomi of Spare Room Style, sign up as a participant of Me-Made-May ’16. I endeavour to wear at least one item of home made or up-cycled clothing each day for the duration of May 2016.
I would like to make this more challenging and fun, but I’m going with #achievable.
I’m going to try and post weekly rounds ups of photos. They won’t be flash, mainly phone snaps with lots of office wall in the background (Rocio, if you’re reading this, you know what your job will be!)

  1. Congratulations on the part! It looks like it should be fun. It’s a tall order to get the photos done when you have so much on, but I look forward to seeing the weekly round ups.

  2. Congrats! I adore the 1951 classic film with Vivien Leigh as Blanche DuBois. How splendidly daring of you. Love that dusty rose gown. I’ll look forward to your MMM16 post for sure.~cheers
